Every host, finalist and champion gets artwork to put on their own site. The badges are free, permanent, and yours to display for as long as the status they certify remains true.

The badges

Four tiers, one system.

Each badge leads with the competition and follows with the holder — that is deliberate, and it is what makes a badge worth issuing. The artwork below is the template; your badge carries your city.

Official host city

Hosts the official regional round.

How you get yours

Personalized badges are issued, not claimed.

Hosts

Your city badge is issued when your round is confirmed and published. No city is listed as a host before a host is appointed, which is what makes the badge worth displaying.

Selection and champion badges are issued with the result. Use them on your site, your deck and your press — no permission needed beyond the terms below.

The artwork stays free forever. We do not charge for badges and never will; a badge you had to buy is an advert, not a credential.

Usage terms

What you may do with a badge.

Display the badge for the status you were issued, on your website, deck, press materials and social profiles.
Link it back to aibuilderscup.com — the badge is a credential, and a credential should be checkable.
Scale it freely. Do not recolour it, redraw it, stretch it, or place it on a background that makes it unreadable.
Do not display a badge for a status you were not issued, or imply a result, endorsement or investment that did not happen.
Keep the season on the badge. A Season 1 badge says Season 1; that is what makes it true later.

These terms are a licence to display the mark, not a transfer of it. The name and mark remain ours; the achievement remains yours.
